23-year-old Jeremih Felton has made his own mark amongst his Def Jam label-mates. A native of the unforgiving Southside Chicago streets, the young performer honed his prodigious musical skills on saxophone, drums and piano. A bookworm by day, beatmaker by night, he collaborated with record producer Mick Schultz while still attending Columbia College Chicago. After signing to Def Jam in 2009, his debut album ‘Jeremih’ hit the charts at number 6 on the Billboard 200, selling 59,000 copies in its first week.
