THE FRIDGE Concert Series returns from 19th September

Concert Series returns from September 19th, kick starting the new season with four remarkable new shows to delight UAE fans of excellent live music.

Concert Series glides into its 21st season with an evocative programme consisting of an eight-piece Latin- influenced jazz band, The Fridge exclusive artists’ showcase, an album launch by another sky-rocketing artist and finally, a spoken-word/acoustic fusion group.

What to expect:

19th September: Tonatuit Isidron

Internationally-known for his mastery of the trumpet and flugelhorn, Tontuit launches the series with a compilation of original jazz compositions, performed for the first time in the UAE.  Curated especially for this evening, Tonatuit assembles an 8-piece jazz band to showcase his Latin and classical-influenced works, featuring his own superb solos.

26th September: The Fridge Allstars

For the very first time at Concert Series, we present 10 of our exclusive Fridge artists, on a single stage… though not all at once.  Featuring brand new collaborations, this will be an

eclectic programme of incredible instrumental and vocal performances by some of our most exciting and accomplished performers.

3rd October: Khalifa Thani ‘Paper Plane’ Album Launch

Opening Act: Upslide (band)

Khalifa Thani is a pillar of Dubai’s music scene and has been playing old school rock covers for the past 10 years. The night marks the official launch of his debut album ‘Paper Plane’.  The album of self-penned originals has been 3 years in the making and beats to the same drum as pop-punk legends, Gas Light Anthem and Blink 182.

10th October: Floetics

Opening Act: David Beats Goliath (band)

After a long wait, Floetics return to the UAE live performance scene with a collection of old and new material, which has been inspired by their recent trip to Barcelona.  Their mashup of poetry, melody and lyric, voiced by the soulful sounds of Layla and the wordplay of Dana, is brought to life by Ansar on guitar.

Doors open at 7.30pm, 50AED at the door, free for 18 and under.

Starting from the second concert, tickets will be available via platinumlist.net and on the door.
