The World of classical Greece inspires the Renato Balestra Haute Couture creations for Spring-Summer 2016. 
Athena, mythical and beautiful goddess of the arts and wisdom, is the symbol of this new collection.
The dresses – strictly snowy white – are embellished with special gold patent openwork embroidery and finished with large bright metal bangles and golden inlaid shoes. Besides the collection’s star colour, white, a crescendo of orange shades reaches its climax in the dress evocative of the greek sun. The movement of the variously-nuanced plissé fabrics suggests the columns of ancient greek temples, giving the goddesswoman a proud, sophisticated air.
In a prelude to the grand finale, a dress smothered in dazzling gold embroidery advances with the dignity of a shining idol. The hieratic bride wears an exquisitely draped milky-white dress and is enveloped in a large cloak of beautiful embroidered lace which opens into two butterfly wings.

Il Mondo classico ellenico ispira le creazioni di Alta Moda per la Primavera-Estate 2016 di Renato Balestra, in cui Atena, mitologica e bellissima dea greca dell’arte e della sapienza, diventa il simbolo della nuova collezione. Gli abiti, in rigoroso bianco candido, sono arricchiti da speciali ricami traforati in vernice oro e completati da grandi bracciali in metallo lucente e scarpe d’oro intarsiate. Oltre al bianco, colore vedette, un crescendo di sfumature dell’arancio che esplodono nell’abito rievocazione del sole greco.
Le colonne dei templi dell’antica Grecia si identificano nei movimenti dei tessuti plissettati in molte gradazioni, 
donando alla donna-dea un’aura altera e sofisticata. Preludio al gran finale, come un idolo splendente, incede l’abito interamente ricamato in oro abbagliante. La sposa ieratica, in abito bianco latte finemente drappeggiato, è avvolta in un grande mantello di pizzo prezioso ricamato che si apre in due ali di farfalla.
