Awards, MEFCC looks to continue its impressive track record of success. This year, MEFCC is expected to attract 70,000 fans from across 30 countries around the world, and will continue to grow the regional industry, support talent and give fans more of what they have enjoyed in previous years!
Launched as a celebration of fan culture and quickly established as the largest pop culture festival in the region, MEFCC has attracted fans, cosplayers, enthusiasts, industry leaders and a new generation of artists, writers, directors and entrepreneurs from the Middle East and across the globe!
DAy 1: The Godfather of comics Stan Lee joined us live from LA via video link to answer those burning questions from a full house of fans. He let us in on a few secrets, including that one of his favourite cameos was in the Avengers movie and his most loveable character is Spiderman’s Aunt May. He also told us the character he would most like to meet is Tony Stark and that he believes no one else but Robert Downey Junior could have played the role.
One of the fantastic veteran comic book artists not to miss is Whilce Portacio! This artistic wunderkind will be 
around to answer fan questions about his years of experience and work with X Factor, Uncanny X Men and Heroes Reborn: Iron Man
MEFCC After Party at VII Dubai in the Conrad Hotel!
DAY 2: The day kicked off with a full house for our official press conference, all the stars were there to answer probing questions and MEFCC announced that GAMES 16 in September 22nd to 24th 2016 and ANIME will take place in Abu Dhabi in 27th to 29th of October 2016. Screaming fans got the chance to meet their favourite stars including Summer Glau, Mark Landis, Nick Frost and Doc Brown himself, Christopher Lloyd. Veronica Taylor (the veteran voice actor behind Pokémon’s main character Ash Ketchum), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, The Kingslayer. After first breaking into his acting career in Europe with a number of acclaimed performances in various Scandinavian films, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau broke into the the United States market in ‘Black Hawk Down’, ‘New Amsterdam’ before landing the role as Jamie Lannister, one of the most complex characters in the TV mega-hit ‘Game of Thrones’.
Creativity went wild in the Cosplay competition as we saw entries from all over the world vie for the top prizes! What 
was your favourite costume? The effort of two of the competitors paid off as they won a trip to Japan! The best female was Isabelle as a character from Starcraft and the best male David Woodhouse came as Warlord.
The Quarter finals of the Fanta Gaming Masters Schedule kept fans on the edge of their seat!
Run DMC rocked the official Day 2 after party at The Toy Room!
DAY 3: Stan Lee will be joining us again via live link from LA – scheduled for 8:00pm and open to true believers!
Any die-hard gaming fans will not want to miss the finals of the Fanta Gaming and watch participants go head to head in FIFA, Street Fighter and many more!
WWE superstar Randy Orton will be punching into town to meet fans and hopefully showing us some moves!
James C Mulligan hosted a workshop on how to draw your favourite Disney characters, something he knows a lot about as an artist for Disney, Lucas Films and Warner Brothers! Star Trek fans grabbed pictures with the original Captain’s chair from the upcoming ‘Star Trek Beyond’ feature, filmed right here in Dubai.
