Interview with Komal Rizvi by Dubai Events Blog

Komal Rizvi  (born in Karachi), is a Pakistani actress, singer, songwriter, and a television host. She is famous for Interview with Komal Rizvi by Dubai Events Blogher songs in Coke Studio.

Komal started off her career at the young age of 16 when her talent was spotted by a family friend. With her family and friend’s encouragement, Komal released her first song which went on to become a super hit and Komal became an overnight sensation.

Komal’s first screen role was for Pakistan Television (PTV) super hit Hawayein in 1997 followed by Lehrein. TV serials like Kabhi Kabhi, Teesra Peher and Samandar Hai Dharmiyan helped establish Komal as one of the leading actresses of Pakistani TV industry. She recently received a lot of praise for her role in Hum TV.

Komal was a part of Coke Studio’s third season where she performed.

We met her during her Tour in Dubai from 13th to 21st February 2016, performing at Sharjah Stadium during Pakistan Super League and for Pepsi Unplugged Dubai.

The visitors at the Sharjah stadium to witness the PSL (Pakistan Super League) match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi were treated to a mesmerizing musical performance by our queen of pop Komal Rizvi during the half-time break.

They loved  Komal’s signature-style rendition of Sufi and folk tunes coupled with contemporary music. Komal mesmerized the spectators through the crooning of her well-loved songs like Jhoolay Lal and Washmallay of Coke Studio fame. Not only that, but Komal showcased her hit single Mahiyaar di gharoli with a new rock-inspired arrangement which was loved by the crowd. The PSL match was made more exciting and memorable by Komal’s powerful vocals and her unique fusion of sufi dhamal and contemporary music.

After an eventful weekend in which Komal Rizvi mesmerized audiences at Karachi Kings’ Family Festival at Bahria Town Karachi, and her memorable half-time performance at the PSL match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi in Sharjah, Komal opened Pepsi Unplugged Dubai.
