‘Hi Emirates TV Series’ share gratitude for UAE through inspirational stories of Emirati and expat women in the Year of Zayed

“Hi Emirates” series is dedicated to the memory of Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE and to the leadership, with its wise vision, with the endorsement of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, the General Authority of Sports and Zayed University.

“Hi Emirates” is an original English-spoken series, subtitled in other languages, conceived as a vehicle of righteous and true promotion of the spirit of the UAE, commencing with “Hi Dubai,” unveiling women achievements, personalities, culture, opportunities, locations and amusements in the city of Future.

The pre-production of “Hi Dubai” started in the “Year of Giving” as a way to give back to the community and to the wise Leadership. The production has been completed in the “Year of Zayed”. It is expected to be broadcasted in 2018/2019.

The Italian Producer of the series, Benedetta Paravia, addressed “Hi Dubai” to a cosmopolitan audience and dedicated it to people who are up to date with their surroundings, with a medium-high educational level, interested in a better and promising future so that they could move to Dubai after watching the series, as women are a pillar of empowerment and enrichment for the whole community.

“Though I am always on the move and travel continuously outside the UAE, I still consider myself a ‘Dubaian’ as I moved to the city in 2002. I am often faced with misconceptions and rhetoric around Arab culture in general and Islam in particular. With this series I hope to present instances of Islamic hospitality, generosity and inclusiveness starting from the UAE, my beloved home” – said Benedetta Paravia.

The first episode is dedicated to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Spirit of the Union, while the 6 other episodes are dedicated to Youth, Tolerance, Happiness, Culture, Sport and Future.

In each episode 4 women share their inspirational and motivational stories.
All personalities share how the UAE and the city of Dubai empowered them, through their experiences, culture, traditions, professions and lifestyles.

The 12 Emirati women who are protagonists are Aisha Saeed Harib, Suaad Mohammed al-Hammadi, Shamsaa al-Shamsi, Khadija Mustafa al-Yousuf, Suhaila Mubarak al-wali, Khulood Mahmood al-Rais, Amina al-Memari, Sara Khalifa al-Mubarak, Maryam Bartawi, the two sisters Sharifa and Samia Naser Yateem and the young Shahed Ahmad Kharam.

The other 12 expats are: Tenzin Choeyang, Celeste Lo Turco, Shanthi Thangaraj, Sana Sajan, Tala Badri, Al Anoud Ghazzawi, Diana Ganeva, Simona Briggiotta aka Samira Cooper, Dareen Barbar, Esmeralda Anton Lopez, Priyal Bhartia and the Godmother of the series is the Egyptian renowned actress Safia El Emari.

All the 24 women has participated in the production as volunteers, sharing their gratitude and love for the UAE and they end their interviews with the right hand making the salute gesture of WIN, VICTORY, LOVE which was created by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The gesture inspires Ethic, Success and Love for the Nation.

The beautiful logos of the series have been created by Alia al-Ansari, Zayed University Alumni from the College of Art and Creative Enterprises.

About the Producer:

Benedetta Paravia, known by her artistic name “Princess Bee” is an Italian expert in International relations and project management, an avid Dubaiite since 2002. She is also an author, producer and philanthropist.

She is the co-founder and Ambassador of the non-profit A.N.G.E.L.S.- National Association of Great Energies Leading Solidarity, for the medical care of sick children from war-zones. She is the only artist in the world who received the Patronage of UNESCO for having written “Angels – a song for peace” as a fundamental importance for peace and solidarity between populations.

In 2010 in the Campidoglio in Rome, she officially launched her international initiative “Music and Solidarity” inviting artists from all over the world to contribute with their music in the humanitarian causes. She organized missions of Peace in Lebanon and Kossovo with Esercito Italiano Army Forces Leonte 8 and Leonte 9 (UNIFIL) where she personally collected medicines from Italy in favor of the needy populations.

With the cooperation of the Italian Government, she renewed the Al Amal orphanage in Gaza giving the orphans basic equipment needed for their psychomotor development.

In 2014 She wrote “Emaraat”, with Emirati lyricist Ali al-Khawar, and since the song was released during the UAE National day, was best seller in the Middle East in both Arabic and International categories in the Virgin Megastore. She has been nominated to become UNESCO Ambassador for Italy.

In 2018 she produced the first series “Hi Dubai”, part of “Hi Emirates”, dedicated to women who belongs to Dubai, as a tribute to the City and a way of inspiring and empowering women. www.princessbeemusic.com
