Eid al-Adha is a holiday at the end of the Hajj, the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, which is one of the greatest religious observances in Islam. Eid al Adha aims to highlight the true values of Eid including giving and sharing.

How can We celebrate Eid in Dubai? From music and dancing to fireworks and stage shows, there are plenty of events taking place in Dubai as part of the festivities.

Witness a splendid show of fireworks across The Beach at Jumeirah Beach Road for the first three days of Eid Al Adha this year. Have fun with a spectacular and colourful pyrotechnics display as it takes over the Dubai night sky in celebrations of Eid, every evening.

Story Pocket Theatre productions brings the Edinburgh Fringe Festival award winning play, Arabian Nights to DUCTAC as part of the Eid in Dubai festivities. With the use of puppets, drama, dance and song, experience an amazing story told unlike ever before. Meet Sheherazade, the greatest storyteller who ever lived as she brings you tales of Ali Baba, Aladdin and more. This play is a treat for the whole family.

Cirque Eloize brings another amazing performance to Dubai this summer with Cirkopolis. It is a story-driven performance featuring ten individuals (Acrobats) in a strict and robotic world that runs as a factory with no individuality. Performed with jugglers, contortionists, aerial artists, original music and amazing visuals, Cirkopolis is bound to amaze everyone. Wednesday, 23rd – Saturday, 26th September 2015, Dubai World Trade Centre.

Maz Jobrani is an American-Iranian comedian who has achieved global fame with his unique brand of cultural comedy. After having starred in a number of films and TV productions he has built his stand-up career into a successful global performance. The hilarious comedian will be entertaining the masses this Eid at the Ritz-Carlton on 25 September 2015. Maz Jobrani will also be having a book signing session with his adoring audiences at 4pm on the same day.

Midge Ure, the Ivor Novello, Grammy and BASCAP award winner who has got a number of Gold and Platinum records under his belt is coming once again to Dubai. This time around, he will be performing his solo and Ultravox hits with a live band at the Irish Village. Don’t miss out on the amazing show this September.
