Blended 2015 @ Dubai Media City Amphitheatre April 30, May 1

Blended returns with a brand new lineup of smooth and funky artists. Blended hosted a very successful inaugural show last year and is now returning in 2015 for another two nights of smooth, soulful and funky beats.

Thursday April 30th: This time around, Blended introduces British rockers Kasabian and singer Jessie Ware with the evening coming to a mellow close by RnB superstar, Craig David, who is no new-comer to Dubai.

Friday May 1st: The second night begins with a bang with Kool and the Gang as they belt out classic mega hits. They will be joined later by one of the smoothest singers in the business, Robin Thicke and Blended will then close with brand new artists Nico and Vinz ending the show.

After the success of the inaugural event in 2014, Done Events has announced the return of its music festival Blended that will be held onThursday 30th April and Friday 1st May 2015. The festival, which has a famously diverse musical line up, features a blend of genres, that this year will bring Rock, Reggae, Funk, Disco & Soul to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

Kasabian: The British indie-rockers bring their electrically charged live set straight from Coachella and ahead of headline summer dates at some of Europe’s biggest festivals. Their performance comes ‘with strings’ – essentially a classically trained string quartet joining Serg and co, adding to the uniqueness of their Blended set.

Jessie Ware: Soulful, melancholy vocals and effortlessly elegant songwriting skills, has ensured that Jessie has become one of 2015’s breakout new artists. With a style that combines the ultra-modern feel of down tempo R&B and British electronic music with the melodrama of classic stars like Sade and Whitney Houston.

Craig David: During his ten-year career he sold over 13 million albums, enjoyed 13 Top Ten hits and achieved multi-platinum status in more than 20 countries. For his stripped down acoustic set he will be accompanied by Kwame on guitar.

Nico & Vinz: Chart newcomers have tapped into the heart of global culture by writing and performing radio friendly songs such as ‘Am I Wrong’ and ‘In Your Arms’. Expect a lively set of pop fused with Afro-beat and R&B.

Robin Thicke: Whilst many will know him for his 2013 smash hit ‘Blurred Lines’ which reached Number One in over 80 countries. Thicke is however no one hit wonder, with 5 albums under his belt and a great soulful back catalogue his set will ease you into a Friday night festival vibe.

Kool & The Gang: Having sold over 70 million albums worldwide and influenced the music of three generations, thanks to songs like “Celebration” and “Ladies Night” amongst others, their bulletproof funk and jazz arrangements have also made them the most sampled band of all time.
