Alserkal Lates @ Alserkal Avenue on 24th September 2018
Alserkal Lates returns for the new season!
Join us on 24 September as our contemporary art galleries present new exhibitions and our creative concepts, including our food and retail spaces, will stay open until 9PM.
Alserkal Residency will host a presentation by Diana Campbell Betancourt, where she will discuss her work with the Samdani Art Foundation. Concrete will present a contemporary dance performance by the Migle Praniauskaite Dance Company.
We’re also welcoming two new concepts to the Avenue, CRANK and Nightjar Coffee Roasters.
Events during Alserkal Lates:
6PM: Talk | Institution as Amplifier: Diana Campbell Betancourt on the Samdani Art Foundation at Alserkal Residency. Free and open to all.
6PM: Workshop: Jewellery rendering with watercolour at The Jewel Teller (book via info@thejewelteller.com)
7PM: Curated trail around the new exhibitions at the contemporary art galleries, led by arts writer Laura Egerton. Meet inside A4 Space.
7PM: Performance workshop with Sara Masinaei at Project Space Art Jameel (open to all)
7.30PM: Concert at The Fridge | Late Night with NOON 2.0 and Callhouse Theory. Free and open to all.
7.30pm: Tharawat Talk – Big Data – The disruptive Force changing Companies and Industries. At Tharawat Space free and open to all
8.30PM: Contemporary dance performance in Concrete by the Miglė Praniauskaitė Dance Company. Free and open to all, seats on a first-come, first-seated basis.
We will also play host to a number of warehouse takeovers, including Pop-Up 47, a transformational space supporting homegrown concepts. Pop-up 47 will launch during Lates with La Plage, uSfuur, jumeirahroad.com, Origins Collective, Black Raven, Lobo&, Strings and Beads, Vice Jewellery, Hygge Mansion and Blossom Honey.
