1971 – Design Space will host a workshop with the Italian artist Sara Berti to explore the techniques and potential of 3D drawing using the 3Doodler pen – the world’s first 3D printing pen.
This tool allows its users to quickly and effectively construct self-supporting structures in plastic, offering a wide range of tones. It combines the traditional technique of drawing with the sculptural possibilities of plastic. The workshop would be of interest to designers as well as artists who want to explore the capabilities of this new tool.
The focus will be on how to use the new technology of the 3D printing pen in the arts and design in bi-dimensional and sculptural work. The participants will create patterns with arabesque and floral motives, which will then be added one to the other to collaboratively create a unique plastic carpet of medium to large dimensions that can be hung on the wall.

يستضيف مركز 1971 للتصاميم ورشة عمل مع الفنانة الإيطالية سارة بيرتي لاكتشاف تقنية وإمكانية الرسم ثلاثي الأبعاد باستخدام قلم “3دودلر” القلم الأول في العالم للطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد.
وتتيح هذه الأداة بناء هياكل الدعم الذاتي من البلاستيك بسرعة وفعالية، وتقديم مجموعة واسعة من النغمات. وتدمج هذه الأداة تقنية الرسم التقليدية مع إمكانية نحت البلاستيك، ضمن ورشة عمل ذات أهمية للمصممين، وأيضا الفنانين الذين يرغبون بإكتشاف هذه الأداة الجديدة.
ويتمثل التركيز في كيفية استخدام التقنية الجديدة للطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد باستخدام القلم في الأعمال الفنية والتصاميم، والأعمال ثنائية الأبعاد، والمنحوتات. وسيعمل المشاركون على إبتكار أنماط باستخدام الأرابيسك والأزهار، والتي سيتم بعد ذلك إضافتها إلى بعضها البعض للخروج بعمل جماعي سيكون عبارة عن سجادة بلاستيكية فريدة متوسطة إلى كبيرة الحجم، يمكن تعليقها على الجدار.
