Eid al Fitr is an important celebration on the global calendar, celebrated around the world. The word literally means, festival of breaking of the fast and marks the end of the month of Ramadan each year. The festival ends the dawn to dusk fasting that is followed by all Muslims around the world during the month of Ramadan. The festival is accompanied by a number of events happening throughout Dubai. More details to come soon. Please note that that dates mentioned are subject to change based on phases of the moon.
Watch the fireworks Celebrations in our city are never complete without fabulous fireworks displays. From your vantage point along the promenade of THE BEACH – opposite JBR, see fireworks displays light up the sky every night on the first, second and third day of Eid from 8.30pm.
–Yas Mall will have a 3-D mall-themed board game ‘Mall of Fortune’ on the first day of Eid Al Fitr. Visitors can compete against each other for a chance to win a range of prizes from various brands in Yas Mall. There will also be a series of cultural and traditional entertainment from the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre.
–Circus Fiesta will have live circus shows starting first day of Eid until August 29 at Mercato Mall. Kids Circus Workshops will also be conducted, where kids will learn the ropes.
-Special stage shows from he Looney Tunes live for the first time in Dubai during Eid. The 20-minute shows specially produced for audiences in Dubai will be performed three times daily at Mall of the Emirates and feature favourite characters such as Daffy Duck and Taz. Be sure to hang around after the show for meet-and-greet opportunities (and photos!) with the characters.
–Al Ain Zoo will have a range of performances and activities during Eid holidays from 9am to 9pm on the first three days of Eid Al Fitr. They will be presenting an ‘Eidiya’ for each guest, receiving a complimentary entrance ticket for a child to use on their next visit after Eid.
–Al Montazah Amusement and Water Park in Sharjah will have fun and entertainment shows for four days starting from July 17.
-Saudi singer Mohamed will be performing at the Eid Al Fitr celebration concert in Abu Dhabi. The concert is at the du Forum on Yas Island on July 18 as part of Abu Dhabi Summer Season.
-Emirati singer Fayez Al Saeed concert at City Centre Fujairah will take place on the second day of Eid at 8:30 pm.
-The Layali Dubai concert series takes over Sheikh Rashid Hall at Dubai World Trade Centre from July 19-20. See singers Rabeh Saqr and Balqees will perform on July 19 while Ahlam and Majid Muhandis will take to the stage on July 20 at the Layali Dubai concerts at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
